It is with great joy we report that a number of props from Moon are up for auction next week. But with some sadness as well, as I don’t think raiding the copper jar is going to bag us the one and only GERTY.

ScreenGeek’s favourite film of the year is to sell some astonishing goodies from the set – GERTY the robot (no way!), one of Sam Rockwell’s jumpsuits, a couple of minature Moon Rover vehicles, as well as original artwork, blueprints, hand props, other model miniatures and gadgets. We can’t even comprehend how great it would be to own a piece of one of the best sci fi films in recent years, a soon-to-be classic.

It all begins on Monday 9th November at 4pm GMT for seven days, and will be hosted by The Prop Store Of London’s dedicated eBay page. Head over to director Duncan Jones‘ site at blog.manmademovies.co.uk for the details, and while you’re at it, get involved in the campaign to ensure Rockwell is nominated for an Oscar in 2010.
