The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – Trailer

sorcerers apprentice hi res

Nicolas Cage is on a roll recently, with Kick-Ass, The Hungry Rabbit Jumps, Drive Angry and Season Of The Witch all scheduled for release in 2010.

You can add to that the latest film from National Treasure director Jon Turtletaub (always forget that he is actually responsible for the only rom-com I genuinely love – While You Were Sleeping). Disney’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice sees a barmy Cage as Balthazar Blake, a modern-day sorcerer who takes on Knocked Up’s Jay Baruchel as the said apprentice to battle a dastardly Alfred Molina.

The effects and set pieces look pretty awesome in this new trailer, with Manhattan home to all the shenanigans of the magical world. Well, they probably would be with producer Jerry Bruckheimer behind it all.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is released on 13th August 2010.
