Box Office Mojo are reporting that the release of Repo Men is being brought forward to 19th March.
Apparently Universal are nervous about Miguel Sapochnik’s sci-fi thriller hitting cinemas at the same time as the recently moved Clash Of The Titans, with its new date of 2nd April. Whatever the reason, let’s hope the UK get to see Jude Law’s latest earlier as well.
Based on Eric Garcia’s novel The Repossession Mambo, the film stars Law and Forest Whitaker as the titular repo men. We’re not talking repossession of cars here, as the story is set in the near future, where artificial organs can be brought on credit. Can’t make the payments? Well, the company gets its goods back, with obviously horrific and fatal results. Visit www.theunioncares.com for a glimpse into this world.
Watch the trailer to see the quite unfortunate situation Law’s Remy gets himself in.
