The Evening Standard Film Awards took place at the London Movie Museum last night, with Fish Tank being named best film of the year.

Anne-Marie Duff won best actress for her role as John Lennon’s mother Julia in Nowhere Boy – biographical works were obviously popular, with Andy Serkis awarded best actor for his portrayal of Ian Dury.

Attendees and presenters included Chris Martin, Terry Gilliam, Sarah Brown, Eva Green and Steve Coogan. Oscar favourite The Hurt Locker got an award for cinematography, with Barry Ackroyd beating Tony Noble’s incredible production design for Moon. In fact, Moon was cruelly overlooked.
